Brother, the Canucks have zero interest in TVR. ZERO. Primary want right now is a top 6 forward. If they add to the blueline, it will be a depth add; league minimum rental with no term UNLESS they end up having to move Myers to clear cap space. But they really don't want to do that.

There isn't much on the Caps' NHL roster they'd have interest in. Wilson, Mantha maybe. If they move Kuzmenko to Washington, I think it's much more likely they take a pick or two, maybe a prospect, and flip the assets to someone else for what they're looking for.

And yes, I believe a 40 goal scorer is worth a first round pick, plus more if the Canucks have to retain anything.

Honestly, anything involving Kuzy coming the other way is a no from CBJ. He's not a top-6 C upgrade over Fantilli or Jenner, and he's not a bottom-6 fit, by play style or personnel (with Sillinger and Kuraly there).

The only interest would be in replacing Laine temporarily, but in that case I'd much rather still have Laine. We're better off just keeping him unless someone blows us away with an offer (like an early 1st-round pick) or it's a hockey trade for another high-upside, young forward that fits the timeline (like a Zegras).

Kuzy has been on the decline for some time. He also doesn’t really have a fit with CBJ in terms of where he would slot on the roster.
