Sens fans have been trying to dump Kubalik on the Hawks since the preseason and were told repeatedly that Chicago would have no interest. The Hawks had Kubalik a couple of years ago and let him walk away for nothing in FA, why would they want him back now after such an uninspiring season? Why would they even consider trading assets for him… they wouldn’t.

I (kind of) feel for SENs fans, but someone needs to take charge of this mess. Realization should have hit by now - so called ‘core’ players aren’t that good. Previous mgmt placed too much trust in their core - SENs aren’t blessed with multiple superstars like Oilers, Leafs or Avs so they’ll need to build a team full of stars and good players (like Stars or Canes). Problem is you paid young players like they are superstars so might have to move one or two on and accept 2-3 year rebuild
