I’d bet that you haven’t been watching ANA this year (which I do not blame your for at all btw!). Z has been sooo much better defensively this year. And that’s not just a fan’s opinion, Cronin has been lauding his 200 ft play constantly, and has admitted himself that he’s been snake-bitten offensively.

Nobody in ANA is worried about his early-season dip in production after missing camp and having to learn a new system, and also dealing with injury. He’s looked really good. Once the injury bug settles a bit in ANA and we can get some line consistency I have zero concerns about his production returning while also maintaining the much improved defensive play.

When Carlsson is back (so we’re a bit more watchable 😂), stream a game and circle back here. Would love to hear what you think after giving it a look yourself

It matters zero what Gibson wants to put it bluntly. He signed a massive player favoring contract and now he has to live with that choice. We all know Verbeek would trade him if he could because doing so makes more sense for both sides, but between the contract and Gibson's trade protection here we sit three years later with no trade in sight.
