Canes aren’t moving Pesce mid season, and they certainly aren’t taking on Chabot. Canes already have 3 top pairing caliber LD on the roster, consuming 8mil in cap space to bring in a 4th is stupid.

I think thats where nashville falls out of the interest then. You are right. Another team will want the player and be willing to pay for the retention where as nashville just isnt in that position where it is looking to make a push for a cup run.
