If Hugues can move that contract he win GM of the year. Hoffman, Allen in the same year that would be a masterpiece.

That Carter Hart trade is absolutely horrible. Montembeault has been stellar since last year. Wasting 2 first round pick and giving up the best goalie at the moment in that trade is just horrible.

Obviously Allen isn't worth that much, but speaking only of tonight's performance, you have to see what actually went in against him before pointing to him having a bad game.
2 cross crease backdoor PP, 1 perfect snipe through a self screen, 1 2-on-1 where the pass got through, 1 empty netter, and Thompson having the time and space to skate an arc right around him at the top of the crease.
A better goaltender might have stopped 1 of those with a little luck, but nobody was stopping most of those.
