The main reason I don't see NJ putting in a claim for Samsonov is because of his cap hit. If it was around 1.5mil I could see them maybe putting in a claim.

Ya, AZ has a real shot at the playoffs. Only Edmonton appears to be a genuine threat to catch them in the wildcard standings. Maybe AZ can beat out Nashville with a bump. 2 of 11 firsts over the next three years isn't a huge impact to AZ imo
