Boston is a good competitive team without him, in my opinion.

Bruins decline blues trade and stamkos probably isnt best fit, and he would be resigned in Tampa at that number.

If Bruins are going to have a Krug reunion, they will just wait for the Blues to buy him out and sign him

The blues don’t really need to buy him out. Honestly that would be my last resort. We have too many problems that need to be addressed that 6.5million isn’t going to solve it.

We’re a one line team with a lot of good 3rd liners and a misfit defense. 6.5m isn’t going to add a top 4 d man and 2 2nd line players. And our prospects probably won’t be ready (Snuggerud, Dvorsky) to step into that role in 2-3 years.

The Krug/Leddy/Scandella contracts are all pretty brutal - at least Scandella is done after this season.

A case of both statements being true, Blues are not paying to move half of Krug. Boston isn’t taking him unless you do. PS….they still don’t.

Krug has actually played pretty well this year. Easily the second best DMan on the team. I think 3.5 for him is more than fair

I honestly don't know what you're watching sometimes. He literally set a career high in points last season. He was clearly our best Dman in 21-22. Like it's not even close. I do agree he has been making too many mistakes, but he still accomplishes a lot throughout a game. He's the one carrying the defensive weight in that tandem.

I am looking at the defense, he was almost dead last in every defensive stat. The only thing he is better at is growing a mustache and Blues fans think that makes him great

Yeeeah he wasn't even close to dead last, but whatever. I'm certainly willing to listen to offers for Faulk, but the lion's share of our defensive problems have been with the LDs.

We aren’t going to be bad enough that trading Parayko really makes too much sense id imagine. The contracts on some of the guys aren’t great but they also aren’t useless players.

Saad at 4.5 x 3 isn’t great but also not awful
Schenn 6.5 same not great but not really terrible
Faulk 6.5 x 4 not great, but also still a top 4 guy
Krug 6.5 x 4 not great but is still a pretty heavy point producer
Binnington 6x4 high, but he’s a number 1.
Leddy 4 x3

Issue is all of these guys aren’t really drivers. But they aren’t paid to be. With cap going up they’re in fairly ok caps and are still players who produce. But they aren’t your high end producers and the cap limits us adding any. We’d essentially have to trade 3 guys to fully tumble. If we don’t our rebuild would take longer. I think they’re just waiting out years of term for guys to be more movable.
