I kinda doubt the Blues go for that, at least until they've switched out at least one of their top 5 LDs.

However, I would probably say yes myself if you agreed to add Woo for a 4th into the trade.

Garland's really good but it's one of those moves that keeps the Blues in the middle. He's going to help them too much to be bad and get high draft picks but he's not good enough to meaningfully transform their roster into one that does much of anything (mostly because he doesn't address the part of the roster that's really holding them back) so they just get to be a team that picks 10-20 in perpetuity. Targeting Garland (a good value add for a third round pick IMO) only makes sense if they do other stuff to get back to contention, and that seems unlikely (especially by the draft).

Woo lost his waiver eligibility this year, could have been had for nothing and no one claimed him. 4th round pick is basically nothing but it's not actually nothing.

Garland drives the Canucks third line which has been the most consistent line. Highly doubt Garland goes anywhere.

Couple of things. Hronek is going to take 8+. Way too much money for Zadorov and DeMelo. Too much term for Laffy with guys like Podz, Bains, Lekkerimaki, Raty, etc that can fill bottom lineup roles. Hopefully Lekkerimaki can be more then that.

Just a quick question. If you take away Tarasenko and DeMelo you'd have enough cap space for a game changer like Guentzel or Reinhart who I would way rather have then those two. Just a thought.

Woo cleared waivers, so he can't just be claimed now. When he was on waivers, we still had nine Dmen on the roster. He's absolutely worth a 4th to me.

As for Garland, thus doom scenario is rather dramtic. And I did say only if we had already an LD slot rectified.

$8+ for Hronek is too much. He's been really good but Hughes effect is real.

Z is the future top 4 LHD. Don't think it's too much money. He won't get less than what he makes now.

If Bains becomes a 4th liner, that would be a plus. He won't be more than that.

Lekkerimaki is a couple years away still. So Tank on a short deal makes sense vs spending crazy money and term on others like Reinhart. Rather keep the flexibility with Kuz and Boeser in contract years as well.

DeMelo is worth that. He's underrated and he's in a premium position on the right. I'd rather two good players than get roped into a long term deal and overpay Reinhart or someone like that.

8+ for Hronek may be too much but it doesn't mean he's not going to get it. He's on pace for over 70 points. 25 year old 70 point RHD aren't cheap.

Zadorov is not a top 4 guy I'm sorry he's just not the same goes with DeMelo. We just disagree there. 8.5 million is crazy money for two bottom pairing defensemen.

He's doing great off Morrissey. Consistent, defensive guy. He's better than all the D not Hughes or Hronek in Van.
