Leafs were handcuffed with the cap in 22-23 until Muzzin went down which is the reason he got Murray with retention because it was the only goalie we could afford. Could absolutely not fit in Gibson at 6.5M and Dubas would’ve never paid the price of a true starting goalie in a trade.

Yeah, because agents put out statements like this for ****s and giggles. Add to that the leafs spent the same amount on Murray and Samsonov as they would have on Gibsons full contract as well as a league min goalie, so they could have fit it.

Knies is as untouchable as the core 5. He is the power forward the leafs haven't had since Gary Roberts with way more skill.

Knies and Woll doesn't even come close to getting both Gibson and Henrique at 50% to begin with. Both teams easily pass.
