How does Toronto feel about losing their first round pick?

Get to the playoffs? No he won't do that. He will absolutely help them in the playoffs though when the game gets a lot harder

95% of the time, these TDL deals don't help the buyer at all. It's a waste of a potential good young asset.
I still don't know who Tanev would replace on the Leafs that would make the Leafs "a difference maker" better. In this post, Tanev replaces Giordano in effect. Tanev is Giordano.
Noticed Tanev's "takeaways" are way down this season. IMO that's the sign of a slowing player.

Leafs don't need help to get to the playoffs, that's a given. They need help to succeed in the playoffs. It's a very physical division to get out of and won't get any easier if they make the conference final.

I don't like McCabe being pushdown either, imo he has been the leafs 2nd best d-man. He has even been picking his spots and jumping into the play more in the o-zone, he is doing his best to be a lesser version of Muzzin.
