If all those guys in the Buffalo trade had those qualities. Wash would want to keep them. They don’t. That said, EJ is trash, a 4th is whatever, and if they can’t get anything on the RHD market, they could do a lot worse than Krebs for Jensen.

I think he’s a perfect fit, leafs aren’t getting tanev he’s gonna resign before he gets sent to Toronto and I would really rather not pay the first to get him is he that much worse then tanev I don’t think so

If they're moving all of Dowd/Lindgren/TVR/Jensen/Mantha I think you can do better than what you're bringing back here. A first is a first and definitely nothing to scoff at, but 2 3rds, 2 4ths, and 2 "young players" who aren't very good and wouldn't have spots in the Caps' starting lineup aren't great.

I dont have a problem with the value in the Sabres deal but its 30 games too late. That's a move that has to happen in the summer. The season is cooked now, regardless of what moves they can make. At this point its better to just give krebs more ice time to see if theres anything there and continue to develop Ryan Johnson to see if he can be the 4th guy in the top 4.
