The healthy defense on paper seems nice, but they’re still allowing 35 shots against per game, which is 2nd worst in the league. Great goaltending is helpful but they’re gonna be worn out come playoff time

Yea, I agree there aren't too many holes especially if there aren't any more injuries. If Parise doesn't come back I wouldn't mind adding a 3LW, but other than that we may actually keep our first round pick this year.

They need whoever will fix the PK. Clutter has been surprisingly ok 5v5 but his ship has sailed on the kill. Love them both but Martin and Clutter should be in suits the rest of the season. Sign Parise back and mayyyyybe play Gauthier on the 4th line but if not trade for someone gritty who can lock down defensively

The Islanders only really need scoring wingers which are apparently the easiest thing to acquire but Lou doesn't seem interested in getting any.

Solid center depth, great defense and excellent goaltending, their wingers are really meh though.

Depends what you're talking about but if it is about the Cup,

Why are they in the middle of the standings then? They've been relatively healthy so far (Pelech the only important player missing 40% or more of games) and the average team is not fully healthy especially in the playoffs. You're looking at the personal only while ignoring systems. They've been one of the worst teams defensively and Sorokin hasn't been at a top level therefore it hasn't been close to the best tandem in the league (at least so far).

Romanov-Dobson as top pair may work but it's not guaranteed especially since they weren't necessarily a great pair last year so that's to be determined.

Lack of star power up front will likely prevent them from being an actual Cup contender unless multiple other forwards step up and Barzal/Horvat/Nelson keep their current level.
