Bruins are moving a top six forward that just so happens to be struggling, an AHL level d-man and a future 3rd rounder when their core might fully regress (might)

for a worse forward, a 5th, and a guy they could have claimed on waivers a few weeks ago?

Don't get it from Boston's perspective.

Although I'm also hesitant that the bruins would say yes, kubalik has more goals than debrusk this season (5 vs 4) and putting him in a bruins system will definitely help that out. Yes debrusk has had more carear success but at a cap hut nearly double kubaliks and for 1 less year the B's have to atleast think about it for the future.

And Bernard docker may not be the prospect he once was but developing in a bruins system could help hin develop his game, with still a high ceiling best would love to test the waters with the young deffencman.

Looking at it again if I take out the 3rd it might be more appealing for the B's, either way I would probably agree they look at a diffrent trade partner for debrusk

I don't get the point of any of these trades.

Debrusk is UFA making more than Kubalik. Considering the Sens probably trade Kubalik for cap space, this trade makes no sense.

Yes, JBD was on waivers. However, since then, he's put in the work and gotten better. He's been great the last few games, earning more ice time, showing he belongs. Seeing as he's a young RD, Sens aren't giving up on him unless it's for a better RD. Renouf ain't that.

MacDonald is a LD, Sens have no need.

Wennberg doesn't fit and makes a lot of money. Pinto will be back in just over a month. So there no room for Wennberg, both roster and cap wise.

Tarasenko, and the line he's in, has been absolutely on fire. Unless Sens have given up on the season, which they haven't, they won't be trading him. A 1st does nothing in this years playoffs race.

MacDonald has been playing as a forward all year for Sharks

I'm not giving up on DeBrusk. Not scoring is not the same thing as not contributing. In past seasons when he wasn't scoring, he also wasn't contributing. This season, he has that second and third effort, he has been sound defensively, and he has been a part of the line blender all season. His most common line-mates have been Poitras and Heinen (at that is only at 15% of the time!), and in that situation he probably needs to err on the side of defense more than taking chances to score like he could with Bergy and Marchy as his linemates. Personally, I want Sweeney to try and get the kid signed sooner than later before he starts scoring again and his price goes up.

Not much reason for BOS to downgrade JD to Kubalik, and as much as id take JBD off the sens hands, i dont think he compensates that downgrade, even if you remove the 3rd

Take out Debrusk Boston still declines.

Would swap Zboril for JBD for change of scenery move, no real need though.
