TDL move
BOS has a stronger need in top 6 forwards so Lindholm might be the better target and while Tippett and Seeler would be good depth, dont think its worth giving up Lysell
Griz to NJ could make sense if BOS acquires Hanafin and Flames might think that offer could be beat, but Lohrei and a 1st is a great package plus the 3rd for retention. Wouldnt hate that Hanafin deal, but if ur giving up Lohrei and a 1st its gotta come w an extension

Forcing it
Thats defintely a large enough return to fetch Lindholm, I wouldnt want them to pull that trigger either.
Ullmark deal is interesting, return is definitely not bad, would prefer to use Ullmark to acquire assets involved for a top 6 C, which i guess you kinda did here
So Ullmark, Forbort, Lysell, and a 3rd for Vanecek, Bahl, a 5th, and half a szn of Lindholm........hmmm
Not much interest in Vanecek, and only moving Lysell + 1st +... for a top 6 forward with term so Lindholm would need to extend in BOS

Goodbye Sway
BOS trades Ullmark before Sway, UPL Krebs and 4th dont really bring much interest but Savoie is a good piece. Trading a G within division requires a premium, so Sway would be more expensive for BUF than that
Lindholm, Beavillier, JD, and Hanafin get more $
Dont mind signing Hanafin, but doesnt make much sense to have Lindholm and Hanafin locked up long term if Lohrei is on the come up

Moves that could make sense for Calgary
Lindholm trade is probably pretty fair value wise, BOS giving up one of their best prospects and 2 picks for a rental top 6C w retention
As a Bruins fan, I'd probably decline just cuz Lysell still has potential to develop into a really good winger and Im sick of BOS giving up 1sts for rentals. If Sweeney had an extension in place for Lindholm itd be a different story

Hanifin to Boston next year
Hanafin and Sway probably get more $, wouldnt go much higher than 6 for JD
Don't mind signing Hanafin, but obviously the bigger need is top 6 forwards and Lohrei would be stuck on the 3rd pair for the foreeseable future
If you keep both goalies that would be 11+ mill allocated to goalies which is alot, porbably better to trade one and use money on top 6 forwards
Nylander would be ideal (but he prob resigns in TOR) or Reinhart or Lindholm, either way, Geekie in the top 6 going into next szn would be a failed offszn IMO

Its a great return for Ullmark, flip Kochetkov for other assets and thats some nice work by BOS, although these are offszn moves

Duclair Deal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Celtics21</b></div><div>My question is whether Duclair is actually an upgrade over Heinen now. It’s kind of a meh deal with some upside</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsWoahWoah</b></div><div>Seems like a lot to give up for Duclair</div></div>
Agree, is the upgrade of Duclair over Heinen worth the value of Merk, 3rd , and Geekie? (IMO no) and Duclair is pending UFA with a low cap hit on a Sharks team that has zero reason not to trade him, shouldnt be expensive at all
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gofnut999</b></div><div>I don’t see them trading Geekie for a middle 6 wing rental.
I wonder what it would take to get Frost/Allison from Philly? 🤔
That would be something I would give the above package for and thrown in Steen as well.</div></div>
Frost would definitely be worth a larger package and of more interest to BOS

Just do it already
If BOS is getting Lindholm, Hanafin, Dube and a 2nd, feels like theyll need to give up more than that. Remove Dube and the 2nd, also i doubt they go for both Hanafin AND Lindholm, probably 1 or the other
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Celtics21</b></div><div>I can see a trade between these two. It seems fairly obvious. Just a question of whether they can come to an agreement with regards to prospect and draft pick rights.</div></div>
Gotta think a trade for Lindholm or Hanafin needs an extension in place, would be a waste of assets otherwise IMO. Hanafin deal gotta include Lohrei youd imagine, same for Lindholm with Lysell

yeah i think the real chance for BOS to acquire Eichel was before he got traded to VGK and signed an 8 year deal, not that BUF wouldve traded him within the div
Probably unrealistic for VGK to trade their top C when their 1st in the west

Defenseman Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>Thats not how that works, an extension or not is completely on Boston's end. Has no effect on the trade value since a deal would be signed after the trade</div></div>
yes that is in fact very obvious. That price is not worth half a szn of Hanafin (as i mentioned). However, if Donny had an extension in place it would be more considerable
Simply referring to the value of Lohrei + 1st for Hanafin and nothing else

Old friends
Wanted Acciari back in FA, Donny settled on the cheaper option in Looch, a 1 for 1 swap w Griz probably hinders BOS more than it helps
I understand the CAR trade, but Lemieux just adds more PIMs to a team that is struggling with penalties already
Lol Frank :hearteyes i get hes off to a great start, still dont think he and Vaak are worth all of that, espcecially if u replace some w a 1st
Not a huge fan of trading Lohrei, but Hanafin has to come w an extension there or it aint worth
Overall the team would be better this year, but sacrifices a lot of futures, standing pat like u said is prob better

Konecny
dont hate the idea of Konecny, but at 50% retention for this year and next along w Philly having no reason to move him would probably cost more than that
Assume u got Lysell + 1st + 2nd for Konecny then Zboril and Steen (2 AHLers) for Seeler and the other picks
definitely think there would have to be more added from BOS

24-25 FA targets
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Celtics21</b></div><div>I’d add a few more
1. Steven Stamkos
2. Jake Guentzel
3. Chandler Stephenson
4. Matt Duchene
5. Tyler Bertuzzi
There is a lot of talent in FA and while not all will make it there, I think Boston is going to be in a great position to secure one.
I also wouldn’t be shocked to see Boston trade for Thomas Hertl next year.
If we are looking at defenseman, I’d put Mountour and Skejci over Hanifan. I’d prefer us go with two 3rd defenseman if we went down that route.</div></div>
Fair list of forwards, id assume Stamkos and Guentzel resign, wouldnt really consider the others top 6 forwards, except maybe Bert, who I dont think BOS will revisit
Hertl would make the most sense IMO, would be a nice 1C addition, but his contract is gonna be rough in 3-4 years
For D: think its safe to assume that
Lohrei-Mac
Lindholm-Carlo
would be the top 4 next year, so not much room for additions there except 3rd pair depth

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Tele21</b></div><div>i hope the bruins steer clear of lindholm. i could see him being a good 2/3 c on a really good team going forward but i’d rather pay him ryan o’reilly $ than sebastian aho $. i think he’s closer to the former than the latter. he’ll be a couple months shy of 30 when next season starts which is a concern for value and production.</div></div>
yeah 30yo FA looking for long term contracts are always tough, he'll definitely decline as a player w age, but in FA you typically pay for the first few years and suffer w the rest

What Id like to see
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsWoahWoah</b></div><div>Personally, I would put Debrusk with Zacha and Pasta in hopes of getting him going, put Poitras between Marchand next to Marchand to see if that sparks Poitras' play, and don't break up the Coyle/JVR/Freddy line thats been very good.
Debrusk-Zacha-Pasta
Marchand-Poitras-Heinen
JVR-Coyle-Freddy
Lauko-Beecher-Steen</div></div>
agreed, cant break up JVR-Coyle-Freddy wiht how theyve looked
IMO Marchand and Poitras are playmakers and JD is a goal scorer who needs more ice time, March-Bergy-JD worked great the last 2 szns, so plug Poitras into Bergys spot and up their ice time
that leaves Heinen to play w Zacha & Pasta, obv would prefer a different top 6 addition by the deadline, but for now he could fit decently
Geekie plugs into 4RW when he returns
Heinen-Zacha-Pasta
March-Poitras-JD
JVR-Coyle-Freddy
Lauko-Beecher-Geekie/Steen
just a personal preference

Caps probably going up to 87m-88m
Forbs and Sway get more $, doubt they bring back any UFAs except maybe JD and Shatt

give the Marchessault money to Reinhart, better player/3 years younger/ can play C

Agree with these exact lines and ur preferences in the description
Bruins obviously still need a top 6 forward
kinda seems like Montys stacking the top line (March-Zacha-Pasta) keeping JVR-Coyle-Freddy chemistry together, then just throwing the remaining forwards left on Poitras line (Heinen-Poitras-JD)
would rather have some thought process and intention behind the lines like u listed
