Mercer is good no doubt, but its much easier for this team to fill his gap in FA or using other assets. Of course if Boston would take a 1st instead then they should do that I agree, but if its mercer or nobody, it would be stupid to not pull the trigger

A complimentary top 6 player. It's not a bad offer, but Boston would certainly want to see what is out there for Ullmark and who makes it to UFA before pulling the trigger.

This is what I was wondering about Mercer seems to be more of a complimentary player than a true top 6 line driver
