Wolanin, Hirose, Irwin are all close enough to Aho. Sure he's better than Juulson but that's not really saying much.

Aho is not an upgrade, he's an LHD who struggles in a bottom-pairing role. Friedman and Juulsen are 7th defensemen call-ups while Soucy and Brisebois are out on LTIR, and the Canucks have Bear waiting to be re-signed and wouldn't cost a pick to acquire.

If the Canucks are moving picks, it's going to be for a Top-4 guy. If they're moving a 3rd, I'd rather get Zadorov out of Calgary.
