why be sorry? Anything that keeps Kane out of the Sabres lineup is a huge win. Him signing with a division rival would be the single best move the Sabres could make lol. Andrew Peters and John Wawrow (both buffalo media guys) cover the team and have both hinted at the signing.

Yeah they pretty much said that Backstroms career is over, No player has lasted more than 2 years after that kind of surgery. Not team is giving him multiple years if his body can't handle it.

I hope he does, He's a shell of his former self. And he's going to be a waste of signing no matter where he signs with.

I'm not saying he doesn't want to win another cup but at this point it's not a priority. During the offseason when asked about where he was going to sign he said it would be fun to play in Buffalo and he said he had fun playing with DeBrincat. Now Florida and NYR still in the mix and have the cap space to sign him.

Probably with marner and Matthew’s and then Knies bumps down to line 2? But that means Bert is going to line 3 and do we really want 5.5M on the 3rd line? I’m not so sure I do

And he didn’t sign the 1st day of free agency bc his agent let teams know that Kane was gonna take his time to make his decision- gonna wait till he’s close to healthy & evaluate where he’d like to play

I have not heard Toronto so far, the 4 everyone is talking about are Buffalo, Detroit, NYR and Florida. I think he signs for between $3M and $5M and I can't see him signing for under $1M when he can easily get at least $3M from other teams.
