That's a fair point. My guess is 6.5 on a long term deal is probably right around what makes sense for him, although if the Kings were to go on a deep playoff run with Hart prior to an extension that number could go up fast

Why trade Tippett? Torts loves him and he seems like an obvious guy that we will keep throughout the rebuild.

I think it makes more sense to keep Konecny than Tippett long term, and with the Flyers already having a long term group forming at the wing with TK/Michkov/Farabee, Brink looking like he has a real shot at being a long term piece on the wing, Foerster having solid upside, Gauthier potentially filling a top-9 winger spot down the road, and the fact that wingers are generally the easiest players to address on the market, I don't think it makes sense to give Tippett a big extension over leveraging a good return package for him given his production to cap hit ratio on his current deal
