LA has no interest in Vladar, even if Calgary retained 50%.

Rittich is a better option, has already cleared waivers so he can move up and down between the Kings and Reign, and makes only $875k. He's also a UFA at the end of this season, so the Kings can choose to re-sign him or let him walk so they can pursue a bigger name goaltender next summer.

Vladar is a serviceable backup, but he makes a prohibitive $2.2M and is under contract for another season, meaning if he doesn't do well, the Kings would be stuck with another bad contract.
