Most coaches only get one chance at being a Head Coach. Unfortunately, for Huska he gets his chance on a team that's about to tear it down. I think he will do a good job though. He was a very good junior coach. The sad part for him is that it's unlikely he sees it through. He will be gone by the time they have a competitive team again.

Agreed but I also agree Love should have gotten the job. Maybe we can hire him back as HC next year after Huska gets tossed under the bus for this year.

Let me fix that for you. Not a chance in the universe the Flames consider trading a top pair defenseman for a marginal 2nd pairing "offensive" defenseman who's small soft and not good without the puck without getting more than just a late 1st coming back too.

Easy no for the Avs. They can't afford to re-sign Hanifin and Girard is locked up, that's besides giving up a first. The only likely movement of Girard would be for futures and cap space. No logic at all to this for the Avs and only helps the Flames.

Getting called on the fact the Avs have 2 dmen already significantly better than Hannifan another in Byram with as much or more potential than Hannifan why in the world would they trade a top 4 dmen that fits their system and is locked up for a guy that walks in the year.
