Montreal can flip Foegele for more assets. They move Savard and they make space for younger defensemans in Laval. I don't think they will move him but they might. Because Savard is a great mentor and leader for the young guys. Habs won't run with 4 rookies on the defense. He's also a hometown kid so. Biondi gets added in the deal because he's probably not going to receive a contract from MTL. Montreal also keep their retention slot and they don't retain on Savard for 2 more years. They could then retain on Monahan and he will be only count for 900k. Might fetch them a first.

There’s zero chance the Flyers do this deal. $2.75M x 2 of retention on TK and then $2.75M x 3 on Kulak when we already don’t have space on our blue line. We aren’t taking on a total of $13.75M for a late 1st, a good prospect, and mid prospect. We could get that elsewhere without any of that extra cap stuff in this trade.

Bourg is pretty solid. Not top prospect but definitely above average at minimum. The other prospect is average for sure.

idk, I'd do this 100%. He's casually been one of our worst d-men statictically, nows the time to trade him, and without statictics he's slow. I don't like what he's shown last season, and have no clue why his apparent trade value is so high.

Let MTL keep Savard. He's already slow and has been trending down; no need to inflict yourself with another Ceci (slow, defensive RD tasked with playing above his abilities).

TK at his current level of play (and based on last 2+ years) is easily a late in the round EDM 1st and EDM 2nd and a prospect like Bourg, (who's probably 8th-12th among flyer prospects) but 2 yrs of retention on top and taking back a cap hit in Kulak? Thats probably another 1st.

EDM are the buyers, and have to offer PHI something to sell, its not an equal footing proposal
