Parayko seems the perfect partner for Rielly, he's not flashy, hits but could hit more, blocks but could block more, puck management is pretty good, plays 20+ mins a night, is a giant. Your comment hasn't sold me on not pulling this trade

Parayko is locked into a 6.5m contract with a full NMC until he's 35 - modified clause until he's 37. His numbers have shown a steady decline the past two seasons and he's entering his 30's.

Unless you're keen on recreating a Hall for Larsson type trade, you don't trade a ppg player for a declining 2RD

For the millionth time, the Blues are not interested. It would go directly against their needs AND they cannot afford to re-sign Willy (or at least will not pay what he asks). All these Leafs fan "authoritatively" giving a report on Parayko never actually watch the Blues play. Like the "expert" who for some inane reason continues to swear that Parayko is a 2nd pairing Dman when he plays the hardest minutes of any Dman in the league, and has been full time top pairing for three full seasons now. They know nothing but what they read in analytic stats, which is to say not much at all.
