Tj Brodie is our best defensive dman. He is well worth his 5m contract. This is a terrible trade for the Leafs. Anaheim would easily be able to resell him for a lot more at the deadline.

Why can't CF appreciate players M NTCs> Seems like we have dozens of posts every day, where teams (often the Leafs) magically get more cap space.

I've also heard he's completely terrible on the left, if he can play well there then yes we'd take him, but you guys should keep him. I don't know what it is with Canadian teams absolutely hating on their 1RD claiming they are bums not worth their contracts when all make under 5 mil.
