I'd definitely take that. If our LD wasn't that stacked and Harris was a more important piece overall, than no, but we got Xhekaj, Hutson, Guhle, Engstrom as well at LD on the long term

That’s what it would take to trade Harris but like someone said, the only reason is because of the depth we have. I would wait a year and see if Xhekaj can be at least a solid 3rd pairing guy. Harris is way better than him right now

Too much ? You paid a 1st & a 2nd for Hronek, who he’s sure a better offensive defenseman and RHD, but Harris is better defensively and good all around but not spectacular. A top 10 protected 1st vs a young dman proven who will be there for a decade plus getting a solid backup, you won’t get that at the price of a 2nd rounder …

Just a quick scan through the draft class tells me he’d be lucky to get drafted in the 1st round at all but regardless of that just cause he gets drafted in the 2nd or late in the 1st doesn’t mean that’s his value. If that’s how it worked yakupov would have value and still be playing in the nhl because he was a 1st overall pick. You wanna question other people’s knowledge of hockey when you’re parading Harris is better than a guy like hronek… really? Harris couldn’t even play every game for a Montreal blueline that has guys like Chris wideman on it.

Harris/Xhekaj/Kovacevic were rotating at the start of the year because they were all rookies. But it didn’t take long before he was a regular. Matheson/Harris/Guhle were MTL 3 best defenseman. Edmundson & Wideman were garbage

He’s not even remotely close to the level of hronek in any aspect of the game, a direct comparible to Harris on Vancouver would be jack rathbone… where Harris might be a bit better defensively rathbone is much better offensively.
