Leafs will run a 20 man roster (only decision left is 11/7 or 12/6); that’ll get them cap compliant. Risk some players to waiver wire but doubtful too many (if any) get claimed

Good lord! Calgary easily says no to Veleno for Backlund. I wouldn't give up Edvinsson for Hanifin or Lindholm and I doubt Husso gets traded. Markstrom is a very good goalie but at 33yrs old it doesn't make any sense for Detroit. They aren't going the playoffs this year but I think they make it next season and then a couple more seasons before they have a shot at the cup.
