Somehow matthews numbers aren’t inflated with marner Tavares nylander and morgan Reilly

Marner arguably top 5 RW
Nylander arguably a top 20 winger
Tavares arguably a top 20 C
Morgan Reilly arguably top 20 Defender
All of them get to play with matthews on the powerplay yet his numbers arent inflated on absolute super team yet marner consistently puts up better numbers and also is better defensively but gets zero credit for anything

Why Eichel?? Did you not watch playoffs?? Plays a good 200 foot game and can put up point per game

Well I was picking one player from each team who would replace him with

Either Barbashev or Hill. Because Barbashev hasn’t played a full season with us, can’t say he’s overrated yet, but for what he got of a contract for basically his playoff performance (hopefully he continues playing like that in the regular season) you could say overrated, but yet again hasn’t played a full season with us so can’t say yet. Adin Hill because of that playoff performance. Yes it was phenomenal and he had a decent regular season, but who knows if he can continue that. I want him too obviously but I don’t know if he can. We will just have to wait and see. Honestly, maybe I’m being biased but I don’t think there is an overrated player for Vegas

I've seen many leafs fans who bring those goals per game numbers and definitely think that.

Ovechkin would have already beaten Gretzky record by now if there wasn’t a lockout when he was drafted also went threw another lockout in 2012-2013 and then went threw covid in 2020

Yeah he really shouldn't be a top 4 option. Both he and Roslovic are the kinda player that get top 6/4 roles on bad teams imo. Neither has a future in that role in Columbus if the young guys get to where they should be with their development. I think he maybe has a future as an alright 3RD.

minus the 7 years of consistently trending upwards in GPG, or that he leads the league in goals, 5v5 goals and 5v5 goals per 60 or that he's underrated defensively or that he's admitted to having a wrist problem all season... But you're right, it's an opinion

Honestly, we will never hear the end of the argument of who’s better between these two. Both are very talented and could carry a team (just not playoffs for Matthews 😝) . Honestly we may never know who’s better

Oh no a nagging wrist injury. Dickie Moore literally lead the NHL in points in the 57-58 season with a broken wrist. He literally wore a special cast for it. Sure times were different, but almost same amount of points and same amount of games played. Only difference is that Dickie Moore played in a more physical, defensive era. So does that mean Dickie Moore is better?? Now, I’m not saying Matthews is bad cuz he’s not but yeah
