Why is Turcotte a bust? Because he's been out with a variety of injuries and illnesses since turning pro? For the few weeks at a time where he has been able to stay healthy, he has looked really good. The Reign coaching staff has described him as a "difference maker." Look no further than Kempe and Vilardi for recent Kings examples of highly touted players that took a while to break out.

Additionally, I expect to see the Kings sign Roy to an extension before this season starts.

As an Oilers fan, I'd love for the Kings to lose Roy. Underrated AF.

20 games? It's about the f$*%ng playoff run.

With our goalie tandem the way it is, zero chance we move Roy. Nylander is great and all, but is he the type of player the Kings need desperately?

The Kings have good center depth (Kopi, Danault, PLD), and Fiala, Kempe, Arvidsson, Kaliyev, Byfield, and Moore at wing. Offense and Defense are in good shape, if they make a trade involving a 1st expect it to be in goal.

Roy is more important to the playoff run than Nylander would be.

The Kings didn't lose to the Oilers because they couldn't score enough. They absolutely sucked on the PK and had trouble containing McDavid and Draisaitl in the defensive zone. So you want to trade away their best defensive RHD and let Clarke and Spence take over? Hard pass.
