Description

Leafs move on from Nylander and his contract extension drama
Jets move on from Schiefele being "difficult" and Hellebuyck wanting out and a max extension
The money WPG would have to pay Hellebuyck goes to Nylander instead who is a right shot winger they need and in his prime, and a G who is younger and inevitably cheaper next year and beyond as well
TOR gets the proven, stud G they need who does NOT have any health issue history and the 2nd line center they need to allow Tavares to move to the wing.

No from Winnipeg. There's no incentive for Winnipeg to give up the two best players and retain to downgrade to a soft winger and career backup.

Lol the "soft winger" is better than Sheifele in all 3 zones and that career backup had much better numbers than Halleybuck did last year. TO has no interest in this. The Leafs have good goaltending that's cheaper and wouldn't downgrade their forward core to trade for two FA's.

I mean its pretty obvious, Nylander won't sign in Winnipeg, the Jets need a center (Scheifele) more then a winger (Nylander) and Samsonov alone doesn't get Hellebuyck retained.

I realize now that none of what you say is based on reality. Scheifele has always been better offensively and defensively and is a center. Hellebuyck is literally one of the best goalies in the game and no, Samsonov did not put up better stats than him despite playing on a better team. All players are FA, and both players on WPG are cheaper in this trade. You've lost all credibility with this absolutely delusional take, thankfully I no longer have to take any of your responses seriously!

You have nothing to back up your statement beyond your opinion. Show me any stat proving Schiefele is good defensively. I am not saying Samsonov is better than Halleybuck but goalies are voodoo and Samsonov costs less. Schiefele and Halleybuck will cost as much if not more than Nylander and Samsonov will next year. On top of that Scheifele's been called a problem in the dressing room, wants out of Winnipeg and once again is not at all good defensively.

But as we all know, reality doesn't matter to you, just your opinion.
