I think it’s less of the Avs fans wanting a nepo baby and more of the fact that he’s one of the more recognizable depth defensemen that was available on the market. The Avs basically need someone to be 6/7D with Jack Johnson, play PK, and otherwise be super sheltered. Foote and Caleb Jones both could do that quite well.

I was really hoping he got signed by Leafs (or PTO) to help with RD depth, great signing by NJD IMO
