Why would Montreal do that? They already have 4 NHL LD. Let alone giving up their first in a year they will be at least top 10 in.

A fan of any team could see that it makes no sense.

Montreal has 8 NHL Calibre defenceman in the lineup this year, that's not including: Hutson, Reinbacher, Engstrom, Mailloux, and more.

We don't need defenceman, let alone at the cost of our first.

I love Lindgren. He's a hard worker, the heart of that Rangers team. They lose more without him. His price is high, and that may very well be it, but MTL isn't a partner for that atm.
