laugh Petry isn't waiving for Vancouver, He's not waiving to go west. Especially to be over 2,400 miles from his family in the Greater Detroit Area.

Ignoring the fact that Petry probably blocks a trade to Vancouver, it feels like you could make this work without retaining so much on Petry. Vancouver is shedding a lot of cap and getting back a useful backup goalie and a somewhat serviceable, albeit overpaid, defenseman

Wow so a 4 hour flight home, Yeah pretty sure he still says no. All reports are that he'll only waive for the East Coast. And still very few East Coast teams can afford him even if Hughes retains at 50%

SMH Travel Time suddenly isnt a Factor just because its in the Air?
It aint happening , you havent heard from his wife yet have you?
There's no chance he's risking setting off Karen again by not being available to hop on a plane quick when she calls.
Long story short thats what this whole Trade Scenario stemmed from otherwise he'd still be playing great in MTL.

IMO MTL is his 2nd home where Julie lived with the kids part time for years before the Pandemic.
Odds are they'll resume that after years of their routine being a mess.
Petry's a 2nd Generation athlete who doesnt chase money over happiness.
I highly doubt you see him compromise anymore now then he was willing to for PIT so they could acquire Karlsson easier.
Instead he dug in.

Instead, you're on a fantasy hockey forum where we all make up silly trades and argue.

You know whats fun about being M.O.D and having to watch Security Camera's the last 4 hours of your shift?
Being able to sit in a room by yourself with Internet. I literally made almost 20$ an hour and it flew by thanks to you guys really

That said you're right my shift was done 15 minutes ago
Time to call it quits and let the rest of your without a reason get your frustrations with life out without me bringing you down so much lol

This would be a very short sighted move by Vancouver and I don’t get how it makes them better

I'd be fine with him sitting out the rest of his contract.
I'm curious, does he still have trade protection after being traded? Did he have to waive it to be traded back to Montreal and if so, did Montreal reinstate it?
