Ok, 42 goals last year, point a game player for the past 6 or 7 seasons. Point a game player in the playoffs. he is a 6'3, 210lb C with an elite shot, elite vision, elite puck handling ability. Mark Scheifele has taken a lot of criticism lately, some of which is warranted absolutely based on his lapse in defensive play recently but the narrative surrounding him is way overblown. For the majority of his career he has been an average or better defensive forward.
Now explain to me why Patrick Laine's value is anywhere near this. He is as bad, if not worse than Scheifele defensively, produces less offensively, can barely skate and doesn't drive play. #just sayin'

But if we're trading Pulock to WPG, it has to be in a deal for Kyle Connor. Anything else wouldn't make sense.
