Spare parts? Liljegren plays more minutes a game that Anderson. Liljijegren had just 8six fewer points than Anderson last season from his Dman position with very little PP time.
3rd line wingers are easy to come by and a lot cheaper than even a retained 4.4m Anderson

Retention isn’t something to waste, especially for a rebuilding team that sells at TDL. Plus Anderson is a power forward, those don’t cone around a lot either. Anderson is a need in MTL, at least for the next 2 years.

most dman log more minutes than forwards....anderson is only there to score goals, and as mention that does nothing for mtl so why both moving a winger that has value for them plus on top of that retaining and losing one of their three retention slots for multiple years ?

I love when people bring up anderson point total and ignore the fact most his points are goals

I don't know why anyone thinks NYI would trade Romanov. They just recently gave up the 13th overall pick for him and his play came together really nicely down the stretch. He looks like he's going to be a gem with us.
