Seems like a pretty solid offer. This would make DET deep down the middle and a real competitor this year.

NSH won't be the team to give you a 2nd for Fabbri.

Way too much to give up for Lindholm, especially as a pending UFA. Hard pass.

I like Fabbri but a 2nd is steep for someone thats missed almost 50% of the games over the last 3 seasons for injuries. I really dont think you could get much of anything given his caphit and injury history.

If, as a Wings fan you think its too much, then its probably enough. Also there is a lot of cap space to resign him to a nice 6 year 51 million dollar contract.

It's probably enough for Calgary, it's still too much for Detroit. Also, no, there is not. We need space to extend Seider, Raymond AND Ras and that doesn't even account for space left over to take a swing in FA next off-season. Trading for, and then extending a 29 year old to an expensive contract is just bad asset management at the stage the Wings are at.

If this occurred before the draft and there was an extension in place, then all for it.

But with Kasper and now Danielson in the pipeline down the middle, doesn't make much sense for DET to shell out those assets for Lindholm.

Value is fair though.

I mean, this just clogs up the center for Kasper and Danielson.
Fair price or not, makes little sense.

Plus, what happens to Kasper or Danielson?

Exactly... even if you put both Copp AND Compher on the wing, one of Kasper/Danielson is probably going to end up on the 4th line in a few years... the fit just makes zero sense across the board...

Fabbri won't get a 2nd, I'm not a Lindholm guy I think he's good but been propped up by his wings over the years. I'd worry about overpaying him.

Danielson still could be three years away...which puts copp in his last year of his contract. Also, if you havent noticed the wings aren't super deep on wing depth(prospects). As much as I believe in Kasper, he still may only turn out to be a excellent 3rd line center, or maybe a good top six winger. There is a reason Yzerman loads up on centers. Easier to move to the wing then a wing to center.

Raymond will get a bridge deal is my bet. He doesnt have the pedigree shown like Seider. I could see Raymond getting a 3 year 13 million deald Seider would be a dream at 8 years 64 million. Ras to stick around would have to take under 4 a year. Getting rid of Fabri would open up money for next year as well.re,

I don't mind Lindholm. He's a 60 point centre who will likely continue to be a Selke finalist for the rest of his career. If he wants 8M or may, it's too much to pay. If it was 4 years or less then sure but he will want max term. A team that is alot closer to contention than we are will pay him that money. We would be a substantially better team with him yes, do we make the playoffs? Probably not. In 2-4 years when this team is really a contender, that contract could come to bite us as he will be 32 or so and likely on a downward slide.

Elias Lindholm wants 8x8.5M and with both Danielson and Kasper coming up in the next 1-2 years. We really don't need Lindholm and that seems quite expensive for a 29 year old 2C.

I totally agree, And both Danielson and Kasper should be up in 1-2 years. I mean i would love Lindholm but not at that price. If Yzerman wouldn't give that up for a much younger Alex DeBrincat than he eon't give that up for a 29 year old 2C in Elias Lindholm.
