Good offer for Pesce, but I’m not sure it really fits what they are trying to do. I think Lily is an underrated defender and CJ can play up and down the lineup, it clogs up the roster and doesn’t really solidify scoring or defense.

It’s one of those Value is good, but doesn’t move our team forward kind of trades.

Canes not only win they fleece lol. Toronto doesn't offer that Lilegren is a good puck moving defencemen and that makes your defence worse to because instead of having Lilegren as your no. 5/6 you have Connor Timmins which is a downgrade imo

Lilly + 1st isn't a bad starting point for the Canes, but Jarnkrok is of 0 value to Carolina. Maybe if it was Niemola or Hirvonen instead, I would do it. Make no mistake, I wouldn't be upset with Lilly + 1st, but I think it's still a little light. Jarnkrok is just a pure cap dump and I'm not convinced he makes the Canes roster truthfully

And you lose Jarnkrok, an important depth player who would make the Canes depth amazing

A contender could -- and should -- offer a second for Brodie, but I don't think that Anaheim will. A rental doesn't do much for a building team, and then there's the fact that his contract is 150% under water, which is of particular concern to a thrifty team like the Ducks.

How has the defence got better when non claimed waiver Dmen, Jones and Foote are on the team.
