I would personally love to have Thompson, but I think Vegas can justify a haul for him based on his cap hit alone, and his value to the team.

You’re probably easily looking at a first round pick and a top prospect, a roster player easily.

I’m sure Vegas is entertaining offers for Thompson, but I think they will only do it if it makes their roster better in another area….significantly.

If not they have their goalie situation locked up for next 2 years for 5.6 million. Great place to be. Whoever stands out between the two gets the next contract then Saville or Lindbolm ready to take over backup/1b role
