So the actual star like player here is Nylander and he's getting tossed aside for a 2nd pair 30 point defenceman and a late 1st, only to give that 1st to Philly, our top prospect, a decent young defenceman and a 3rd for a 3rd liner who's older than Nylander.

So to make that clear

A top line elite forward who's 27, our top prospect, and a 3rd for a 2nd pair defenceman and a 3rd liner. Are you trying to make us worse? Because mission accomplished

Pesce is not just "a 2nd pair dman" - He had 2nd most ice time on Carolina last year. At worst he is a number 3 dman. But he is a solid #2 guy as well. Laughton at 1.5m a year for 3 years is one of the best contracts in the league. He is one of the best 3rd liners in the league. I also used the extra cap space here to sign Tank on a 1 year deal. Although that may be unrealistic.

This team here is BETTER than the one we currently have. But it also loses Minten and Robertson. So our prospect pool is worse.

This team would be highly competitive.

You're severely overvaluing Laughton. The 2024 1st round pick alone is good enough.
I don't know what 3rd line Cs go for 1st + 3rd + b-prospect.

If you add another top prospect on top of that offer, you might as well go bigger and work out an offer for someone like Konecny.

Tell me you don’t know anything without telling me you don’t know anything lol, do some research the flyers have already stated what they want for both TK and Laughton. Hint they have already turned down multiple offers of a 1st for Laughton so clearly a first is not “good enough” for him

Why is Laughton one of the best 3rd liners in the league? Because when he's playing his most minutes of his career due to Philly being terrible, he scored 40 points? Nah, he's a decent 3rd liner and Pesce is an above average 2nd pair defenceman.

That's absolutely insane. You can't pay that much for someone to play on your third line. Even Tampa laughs at this one.
