I agree that isn't enough but I also don't think Hellebuyck makes a lot of sense for Detroit right now. Detroit isn't going to be a playoff team this year. Both Buffalo and Ottawa are easily ahead of Detroit. Even if Detroit trades for DeBrincat they are still looking at finishing 7th in the division. The teams at the bottom of the East are getting better but the teams at the top of the East aren't declining as fast. So we are going to see a couple of teams that are good enough to make the playoffs that won't. So Detroit trading for a top 5 goalie really isn't a top priority right now.

Yup, that makes sense. What was Yzerman thinking with the Compher and Holl signings though? Add that to Copp and that's a lot of salary pulling you down in a couple years. Does Stevie think you guys are closer now than you do?

I think like he has said he like to see the prospects win in Grand Rapids as a team before coming up. So we might not see many prospects come up this season and if we do it will be for shorts stints. I think Edvinsson earned or was close last year but he had shoulder surgery and won't be back until September but after dealing with Vrana shoulder surgeries I doubt they will be rushing him at all. So we might not see him until December.
