I personally wouldn't take anything from Detroit cause they are a classless organization that admitted to cheating in the playoffs through the late 90's. Bowman literally said the used illegal sticks through the first 2 periods of playoff games then switched to legal sticks for the 3rd when they were more likely to get called for them. I think they should have been stripped of the championship that year and penalized for cheating.

I never said the team wasn't good or that they only won cause of cheating. I said after the playoffs Bowman himself admitted in an interview that they used illegal sticks 2 out of 3 periods. It is one thing to suspect someone cheated and a whole other thing to admit to it. Personally I think that if you admit to cheating after winning any championship you should be stripped of the title. How is it any different then an Olympic athlete testing positive after winning a gold medal? They get stripped, so should NHL teams, the NHL should hold teams to higher standings and have some integrity and backbone.
