Quoting: JeffGorton
he was also 26th best in xGF/60 and has a positive differential unlike Ovi or Rantanen or Hertl or Gaudreau
As much as YOU may not like him, the numbers do not lie. And gms love his type of player so one will pay at least a 2nd rounder for him (probably a 1st + prospect)
Anderson 5v5 numbers compared to forwards with 500+ min
Expected Goals: 14.4 (87th)
Hits: 125 (67th)
Corsi: 44% (345th)
On Ice Expected goals against per 60: 3.51 (380th)
On Ice goal differential: -3 (239th)
Side Note: Ovy was -2, Rantanen was +14, Hertl was -15, Gaudreau was -17
So two of the guys you named had a better differential and Anderson had a negative differential.
Anderson is good at scoring and hitting. Bad at controlling play and defense. Those are his numbers. No one, and I mean NO ONE will give up a 1st for those numbers.
I don't like or dislike Anderson. I see him for what he is.
