Honest question would you not prefer a 3 mil Murray to a 1 mil Tarasov? Murray has been better than both Tarasov and Elvis the last two years. We retain 1.6 million on him here. He's under 30. Seems a reasonable gamble. I wish we had more cap space. I'd be content to keep him and Sammy again in that case...

Murray can’t keep healthy just like our guys. Why would we take on another expense injury prone goalie.
For better or worse we are stuck with Elvis and tarasov. We don’t have the money to put into another goalie unless it’s like on a league min deal.

Not even a little bit. The Jackets have brought in a new head coach, new goalie coach, and have completely revamped their defense. All these moves were made in part to figure out if they need to fix the goaltending or not. There were high hopes for what Tarasov would become as recently as 21-22 and the best outcome in Columbus is for Elvis to find his game again. Bringing in Murray doesn't help the future of the team at all and nobody is going to be fooled again into thinking his body is going to hold up through an NHL season. Frankly, it's amazing that Dubas believed it when he traded for him.
