I like the trade for both teams. We will see if it gets pulled off. Pageau is a very good 2 way centre. Will provide a lot of breathing room for their top 2 lines to thrive offensively. I assume Pinto moves to the wing in this case.

Definitely. He can teach those guys a thing or 2. And Pageau is only 30. So he may get a bit worse as the 3 years go on, but it shouldn't be terrible.

Just in case, I was being sarcastic. Dorion has damaged the rebuild so much over the years. There's still a lot to like but that's because he started with a lot of very valuable assets (Karlsson, Stone, Duchene, Chabot, Batherson, etc)

Pageau's contract is not ideal but only 3 years left. Should provide some great veteran presence and great defensive play. Any offensive production is bonus

Wahlstrom has not lived up to his draft position so continue to develop him, seems to be at least a good 3rd line forward
