I know, but this website is littered with trades where the sabres only trade olofsson, rosen, ostlund, and bryson. Feels like if we end up with a really good NHLer it is going to hurt a little

I see where your heads at with your thinking but that seems like a A LOT for Terry. But, what do i know?

I don't see buffalo trading prime pieces for a forward. I like the tanev idea, but I think you are overpaying. I think the cost is a second and either a third or a prospect in a tier below Krebs. I don't agree with your assessment that ostlund and rosen are just some guys that we wanna give up. That's two recent mid first round picks, that are both playing well and developing as expected. I think with message boards like this, other teams fans become fixated on the TOP prospect a team has, and everything else is garbage, when the truth is- the third and fourth ranked prospects on different teams are not at all equal.
Agree with all highlighted areas.
Fun facts:
Over the past four seasons Boeser has scored 80 goals while playing in 258 games.
The Sabres' Victor Olofsson has played in 257 games over the past four seasons and has 81 goals yet he is only valued as a third while his salary is nearly $2,000,000 lower than Brock's.
Let me add, over that same perios Brock has scored 1.013 goals/60 while Olofsson has scored every 1.171/60
Most ACGM's think Boeser is worth a first yet Olofsson is trash?
Olofsson is DeBrincat LITE, in fact Olofsson outscored DeBrincat 28 to 27 last year.
A '24 third with 50% retention is significantly below his value.
Oh BTW Victor also outscored Troy last year 28 to 23.
And Troy played 274 NHL games with 75 career goals.
Lastly Troy will be looking for a bigger payday and is only 21 months younger than Victor.
