Don't try to downplay Saros, he's top 5 in the league and exactly what Habs need.

Not a criticism of Saros as a player. He's good enough that the Habs could be close to making the playoffs with him next year, but I think that coming out of the rebuild that fast would hurt their ability to acquire the high end talent they still need on their roster. And he'll be 32-36 in the years where they should be trying to compete for the cup with their current core. Price is 35 and will likely never play again, so that's a significant concern, especially since Saros is up for a big raise after next season.

Trading Casey for a declining veteran defenseman would be a horrible move for the Devils.

You could take out both 2nd's and I'd still take that trade. Heck you could remove Saros and just leave Kemell and the two 1st and I'd still take that trade
