Your statements are accurate; however there is more to it than that. Hawks have a roster full of bottom 6 guys already & at 30 yrs old being a top 6 guy ship has sailed for Armia. Don’t know how many calls KD is getting but ACGMs are tripping over themselves to offer Hawks “help” filling roster spots. I’m confident they can pick from the best “offer”.

Dvorak might make sense financially for the Wild at the deadline. They could probably fit in a $4.5m player with accrued cap space by the deadline and his cap hit next year might be manageable with Zuccarello, Foligno, Fleury, and Goligoski all freeing up some cap space along with whatever cap increase comes next year.

That being said, I don't think he's the right player and they'd be better off just keeping the assets and see if they could sign someone in free agency to a short term deal.
