First and foremost, congrats to Bruce Cassidy. The man is goated. He deserves all of the success that he is getting.
Not sure of the values, just some ideas for the Bruins this offseason.
Bruins shed some cap, add a big RD on a low AAV and a young RD prospect. Not sure how those in Dallas or the fans value both but let me know. I think Coyle would be a great fit for the Stars and I think that would be a team he would waive for considering that they have been a contender for some time now.
Stars solidify themselves up the middle of the ice, with centers such as Hintz, Seguin, Johnston, Benn, Faksa, maybe Domi and Dellandrea. With Coyle into the mix, they add a great third line center with term who can play in all situations.
Send DeBrusk to the Avalanche. Personally, I would rather pay Bertuzzi than DeBrusk. JD is going to be due a raise after this season and I personally would choose spending that money on Bertuzzi. B's open up cap space, add a late first and a future fourth.
Avalanche add a top six winger, who can play up and down the lineup. DeBrusk raised his game last season, playing on the PK and scoring 50 points. Avs add him on a low AAV and still have money to spend with Landeskog on LTIR.
Bruins open up cap space by shipping Forbort to Seattle. Their PK was not great last year and Forbort excels in that role. Seattle tries him out for a late fifth rounder.
Bruins shed even more cap by sending Ullmark and Grzelcyk to Pittsburgh. I have seen some Pens fans posting that some like both players and some don't. Bruins add future picks that are much needed. Not sure the B's trade Grzelcyk considering how well the management spoke about him at the end of the year press conference.
Pens add a top goaltender from the previous year on a decent contract with some term. Grzelcyk is a great transition LD and puck mover. Pens move their future picks for another chance with their core. They move on from Jarry who has been riddled with injuries.
Not many will like the Reilly trade. Maybe the Canes can give him a shot and see what he's got. The Bruins had tons of depth last year and Reilly was the odd man out. I believe he can still play in the NHL and I would like the B's to give him another chance but it seems as though his time is up whether they buy him out or find a trade partner. For a 7th rounder next year, why not give him a chance lol.
Bergy and Krejci come back for the 100th year. After the season they had, they gotta run it back.
Swayman and Bussi/Keyser for the goalies. Maybe have Bussi and Keyser in rotation as the backup. If not, maybe consider a veteran goaltender to help mentor Swayman for a few more years.
Just my thoughts, not sure of everyone's value here. I know that there are NMC and NTC with some folks on the B's. I would like to think that Coyle would waive as well as Forbort, and Ullmark.
I like debrusk and think he owuld flip flop between 2w&3w on the avs depending on what other moves they make, what is debrusk most likely looking for on the next contract?
Columbus would be interested in that Coyle trade and could offer better defensemen. You could probably pick two of Boqvist, Peeke, Bean and Blankenburg.
DeBrusk is interesting but he has only one year left on his deal and the LTIR money dries up next year + the Avs will have all their Top 6 wingers under contract for next year, so he’s just a rental. If I’m the Avs I just walk and look for another winger at that price.

Yeah I see lots of people post Hall to the Avs and its not received very well. I feel like DeBrusk is more interesting and a better fit, you both make great points about his placement in the Avs depth chart this year and next. Not sure what he is valued at but I am guessing maybe 5-6m per year on an extension.
I like this. Very well planned out. Penguins accept. Also what’s the price of Debrusk? I know he had a good year but he has 1 year left on his contract. What type of extension is he looking for?
Of course a lot of stars have to align to make all these trades come through...
...but with that said, this is a great proposal overall and a dream situation for the B´s in my book. Though the B´s will have to give to trade Reilly!

Given his age there are all sorts of options on contract length, which opens up the salary spectre a lot. My guess is his camp will compare him to Coyle and Hall (5.5-6M), but that´s just my guess!
Anyone else...!?!
All in all, very realistic. The one problem I have is Reilly. I do think the Bruins will have to send an asset to get rid of him, but I don’t think the Canes should target Reilly. Forbort or Grizz would be more likely as targets, as they would likely be much better fits. Reilly’s fit is questionable right now, and the Canes don’t have the wiggle room to make a move that might not work out.
wow u really dumped off 5 starters plus Reilly, idk whether to say well done or what the hell are u doing
Dont hate what u did here tbh, probably a little unrealistic with all moves considered

would not be totally against that either, Boqvist and Bean could be appealing, maybe not straight for Coyle tho

Sweeney said at the end of the year press conference that changes are coming and the Bruins team is not going to be the same. Which is why five starters are gone and more younger players are now on the team. That was my thought process behind this ACGM.

I am completely in favour for selling off the older/replaceable less useful guys (Hall, Forbort, Grz, Reilly, Coyle, Ullmark), for assets and allowing for the kids in providence to step in and see what we got. My only concern is that BOS gets fair returns which they will use/develop for the future for all their trades and use the cap relief wisely
