If you want Hayes and Laughton, Newhook and the 2024 1st is the package

Can’t see the Hawks trading two 2nds and 3rd to move up eight spots in the draft. MacDermid doesn’t have much value as a mediocre face puncher.

I really like laughton, i think he can provide solid 3rd line depth at a good price. I don't really expect him to put up over 40 points but 3 mil for 30-40 points is a solid contract. I don't think we should be targeting Hayes though, i just don't think he is the answer to our 2C problems.

CHI declines. The picks CHI is sending are worth significantly more than COL's 1st round pick and MacDermid is worth very little, if anything.

Pick value is a pretty significant overpay by the Hawks. My counter offer is #27OA + MacDermid (don't want him so you are more than welcome to keep him) for #44OA (Ott 2nd), + #51OA (Tampa 2nd) + #67 (Chi 3rd) which is still an overpay by the Hawks on the pick value (but more like a 4th)

Avs screw Philly in the first trade really. JP won't cost anything as the 'canes won't give him a QO. Keep the first and just offload MacDermid anywhere for anything.
