Mason Appleton is not worth a second round pick. Nate Schmidt probably has no trade value. Trochek isn’t waiving to play for Winnipeg.

If they are rebuilding, WPG is gonna have to trade what they can for positive value and sit on the rest. You're gonna have a hard time trying to force these things. You would have to pay CHI to take Schmidt. Maybe there is a team that will give positive value for him, but not CHI.

Not seeing much incentive from a NYR standpoint on that trade. Trocheck and PLD have produced very similarly throughout their careers (first 6 years of career and the last 3 years). While PLD has the age advantage (5 years younger), do you really think that is worth Miller? NYR fans do not. Maybe a 1st rounder and a prospect not named Othmann. Trocheck is a must trade in any scenario where PLD goes to NYR, but the posted doesn't even get considered by NYR.
