Description
Forbort can go to any team. Just get a couple later round picks

Ullmark going to LA for Vilardi helps both team and Boston sends an extra pick to take Arvidsson and helps LA’s cap situation

Hall is from Calgary. I figured it wouldn’t be on his no movement list

Just strike one 6th and the 7th coming to the canes and sure

Far too much for ullmark. He is a goalie and performed poorly in the playoffs again.

No, we're not trading Gabe Vilardi for two seasons of Linus Ullmark. But we will trade Viktor Arvidsson and Carl Grundstrom for him, without the fourth.

He had a bad last 2 games. He was also injured. That has to be taken into account. He’s going to win the Vezina this year. Team gets desperate in the off season sometimes

Of course they do which is why I always have a good laugh during free agency

I don’t believe there is a package for Villardi that has Ullmark as a base

I don’t believe there is a package for Ullmark that has Arvidssen as the base (barring LA providing a prospect they won’t give up. Grundstrom isn’t even in the zip code)

Neither team is in a financial position to hold back significant dollars and these players are probably their best route to clear salary.

And for all the criticism of Ullmark, none of the players mentioned have even sniffed his level of success and likely never will (Villardi and Swayman have the potential to)

I just came to the same conclusion about these teams probably both being in too much of a bind to be trade partners. The only two ways I see it happening: Ullmark with some salary retained for a C prospect like Turcotte and a pick, or Swayman for Vilardi straight up. Those are some high-risk maneuvers, but I think those might be the only avenues. As fans, that second trade would be giving up our binkies, so I don't think either team loves it. The first one is intriguing if Boston retains about $2M, but for Boston to retain a second year of Ullmark's salary, that pick would need to be pretty high. There are probably better trades to be had for the Boston side.

Seattle is deep on the wing. Doubt Arvidsson would be of interest. Forbort though, would be a decent one year replacement for Soucy, if Carolina "passes." Lol But for one 6th, not 2, and keep the 7th, as someone already suggested.

I actually like Iafallo and one of Turcotte, Kupari, or Pinelli for both teams. It does require dumping a defenseman

I think BOS and LAK are great potential trade partners, LAK has a surplus of young Centres/Forwards and BOS has a surplus of Goalies

Kings fans seem pretty high on Vilardi, so lets assume hes not available (same with Byfield obviously): Turcote/Pinelli/Lizotte/Kupari/Grundstrom/JAD in that order are intiguing options for BOS

Think its safe to assume Kings would prefer Swayman over Ullmark, but BOS should prefer moving Ullmark over Sway becasue of his cap hit and current peak value

problem is both teams have cap issues, Kings could def fit Ullmark in, but theyd have to make some other moves, now retention on 2 more years of Ullmark would def increase price, I was thinking Turcotte + 2nd for Ullmark or maybe Kings throw in smaller cap hit player to help make money work, Swayman for Vilardi would be risky for both sides and make both fanbases unhappy IMO

.

There is a trade in there. From my perspective, Iafallo plus one of their better forward prospects is worth selling low on Gryzelcyk.

Turgeon and a 2nd would require them to sell low on Arvydssen.

There is added risk-return on that deal from both Boston/Kings are taking and based on what I saw in the AHL with Turgeon, I’m not sure that risk favors Boston.
