Girard has been mediocre the past 2 seasons and he’s usually bad in the playoffs . Reinhart is a 30 goal selke caliber top 6 forward.

Anaheim would be interested in MacDermid for a fifth. The other two players have no appeal for us.

I dont really see any reason to bring Sturm back. He's good, but meyers probably fills that position fine with an offseason of work - every team is going to facing this cap crunch and 4th lines are going to, in general, be suffering for it

I’ve liked Meyers but he’s just got to take a big jump in his play to be on the level of Sturm, Meyers is not that tough to play against yet at 2 mil Sturm is a lot but nothing insurmountable

well, you're missing 3 players for a legal team here so you're going to have to make some concessions, and that's a fairly easy one

He’s good but not top tier and a lot of other “fans” want the big body with puck moving ability, he has his weaknesses and strengths but calling him mild in playoffs is truly disconnected

This isnt even close to getting Sturm. Grier said at the TDL last year that it would take a significant offer to get him. Hes been awesome in SJ and he likes playing there. In SJ he gets to be 3C and heaps more ice time and put up 16 goals last season on a great contract. Very easy no.

The only thing Gudas is better than Girard at is growing a beard, he is one of the more overrated players in the NHL. And Mahura better than Girard seriously calls into question your ability to judge dmen.

Girard hasn’t been better than Gudas at any statistic that matters- Girard is pretty much a good passer who at times can do the flashy spinorama. But his overall impact is that of a mediocre defenseman
